Former Murray State signee goes with the Pirates. Brandon Evans, the 6-1 athletic guard from Liberty Tech High School in Jackson, has committed to play for East Carolina.

Evans had originally signed with Murray State but was granted his release when Mick Cronin accepted the job at Cincinnati. Evans, who spent his first two years of high school in North Carolina,helped lead his Liberty squad to the AA state championships this March.

Evans will bring athletic ability and hustle to Coach Ricky Stokes' Pirates. East Carolina participates in the ever tough Conference USA.
