Bad info made us forget the Celtics who made the state proud with a huge effort in Atlanta.
Let's start by saying we were misinformed about the status of one of the teams at the Wallace Prather Memorial Classic in Atlanta. I apologize for the misstep but hopefully will correct it with this article.
Represent young man. The Memphis Celtics took this message to heart and made the trip to the Sweet 16 at the Wallace Prather this weekend in the ATL.
The Celtics finished 2-1 in pool play losing only to the ever-tough Worldwide Renegades, but beating the Birmingham Raptors and the other unfortunate member of their pool. The Celtics then tangled but came up short against the Georgia Hurricanes. Rackeem Henderson (Kirby) came up huge against the Hurricanes dropping 45 from all over the court. Other players who came to play included Martino Brock (Ridgeway), Arnette Moultre (Trezevant), Alvin Thomas (Wooddale), Nick Walls (Ridgeway) and the Mississippi contingent of Brian James and Michael Pollard. The finish will be taken into consideration for next weeks Travel Rankings. |
