More commitments come rolling to the forefront. As the summer starts to narrow the commitments for the Class of 2006 are starting to come to a close. We have found a few more and here they are:

William Taylor, the 6-4 wingman from Memphis Kingsbury, will stay close to home and has committed to play for Deron Hines and the Jackson State Generals. The Generals compete in the TJCCAA and will add Taylor to an already outstanding class.

Staying in the TJCCAA, Volunteer State has added yet another player to their sterling class, with the signing of Memphis Central guard Chris Ivy. The athletic Ivy will join other area player Romeio Lucchesi and Antonio Whitehead in the Pioneers burgeoning class.

Anderson College has named a new head coach and also collected another Tennessee prep prospect. Assistant coach Jason Taylor was named the lead guy and B.J. Ware, the defensive dynamo from state tournament participant Knoxville Bearden, will join his high school mate Rande Sibley at the South Carolina school.

Staying in the Eastern part of the state we conclude with two signees who will basically switch regions with each other. Eric Anderson, who helped his Greeneville team advance to the state tournament will leave his home and come play for Randy Lambert and the Maryville College Scots. Anderson is tough and hard-nosed and will fit right in with the returning players on the squad. On the other side of the fence Clinton sharpshooter Jonathan Dye will take his game the opposite direction and has signed with Milligan College. Dye will be a welcome sight for Coach Tony Wallingford with his outside prowess and good basketball IQ.

Finally the fourth member of the vaunted Murfreesboro Seigel family will have the opportunity to continue his education, as well as; his basketball career at Lees McRae College in Banner Elk,North Carolina. Darius Roper, the "other" guard will take his three-point marksmanship to the DII school. The Bobcats, who are coached by Randy Unger, compete in the Carolina-Virginia Athletic Conference (CVAC).
