Where some teams are headed in July.
As the weather get hotter the stakes get higher. With July around the corner many of the state's top summer programs are gearing up for the stretch run which runs throughout the month. The shoe camps and numerous prestigious tournaments dot the landscape for the blazing hot month.
As coaches are able to come and view the happenings the games become more important and meaningful. The state of Tennessee will have some good representation at one of the major events the Hoosier Shootout in Indianapolis.
The annual Hoosier Shootout is the place to be with many players getting a chance to show their wares with some of their more hearlded teammates attending the various shoe camps. Here is a small breakdown of who will participate at the Shootout.
17 and under:
TENNESSEE THUNDER
Glad to see the boys getting the chance to play with the rest of the world, if McAdoo and Harper come to play they could make noise.
TENNESSEE TRAVELERS
With Oglesby attending the Nike Camp look for Wattad, Dodd, Sharp and Wiggens to shine in this setting.
MID-STATE BALLERZ SELECT
If they truly come to play they could make an impact but must get sound play from Carter,Curry and Payne.
TENNESSEE BREAKERS
Traditionally hot in this tourney. They will be no pushover for whomever they draw and this could be a huge setting for Sensibaugh, Lanxter and Cantrell.
NASHVILLE CELTICS
Playing without Robinson, who will be at adidas, should open the door for Graham and Slater to show what they can do. Look for big things from Saunders also.
MID-STATE BALLERZ ELITE
With the squad intact this is the time to show the wrold what is up. Leadership from Long and steady play from Bingham, Hunter and Sain could help them blow up.
16 and under
TENNESSEE TRAVELERS
Finally playing with their big dogs intact, look for great summers for Dowdell,Douglas and Damron.
NASHVILLE CELTICS
Slightly undermanned with Williams attending adidas Superstar Camp. This will be the setting for Holt to grab the reigns and pull himself into a prospect.
15 and under:
TENNESSEE TIGERS
Drew and the boys embark on the summer circuit with a whole lot to prove. The world will get a load of Jefferson, Pope,Mason and Miles, lets see what they think.
TENNESSEE TRAVELERS
I love the thought of the basketball community getting the chance to see Twilley, Moore, Adams and Gallman all do their thing in Indy.
TENNESSEE FLIGHT
I am so glad that these guys will get the chance to play on the big stage. It should make all the difference in the world for Jenkins,Jones and Simpson.
