![]() Terrence Ogelsby The holiday season brings out the best in all of us and that sentiment could certainly apply to the action that took place in the deepest corner of Eastern Tennessee on Tuesday night. Clemson signee Terrence Oglesby led a furious Bradley Central comeback and the Bears escaped with a 89-85 victory over ever improving Chattanooga Red Bank. The blonde bomber scorched the nets for 57 markers breaking the all time single game scoring record that had stood at the Cleveland school since 1962. Oglesby dropped the final 20+ points of the game helping the Bears overcome a game long deficit and giving them the triumph. Surprisingly enough T.O. only connected on five threes for his points showing more to his game than the long range bomb. The future Tiger is now within striking distance of the schools all-time leading scorer for his career.
In other career scoring news Science Hill wingman and Georgetown signee Omar Wattad is closing in on the all-time scoring crown for the Hilltoppers. The 6-5 Wattad is quietly leading his team to a 14-1 start and will break the record sometime after the holidays. This will be a monumental achievement as the Hilltoppers are one of the most storied programs in all of Tennessee High School basketball.
The trend continues as Cameron Sharp, the quintessential point guard from Knoxville Halls is also within 40 points of breaking the scoring mark at his place. The Carson Newman signee will break the mark over the Christmas season and forever stake his claim in Halls folklore. |
