A vital stop in the progression towards a sub-state game. Tuesday night is the biggest of the high school season thus far.

REGION 1AAA:

A chance to get some revenge for a couple of squads in this region. Science Hill gets another chance to take out surprise district top dog Tennessee High. They won't go easy. Greeneville gets Dobyns Bennett but they clearly have their eyes on another potential matchup with the Hilltoppers, who had their way with them earlier this season.

Prediction:

Greeneville vs. Science Hill in the region final.

REGION 2AAA:

Two reps for each district should give familiarity and make for some interesting contests. Surprising Karns takes on Powell in one semi-final and Maryville gets Bearden. Karns has the hot shooters Jordan Roth and Jesse Booher on target and is playing great defense which they will need against Chris Connor and  Matt Hargis of Powell. The Rebels are getting scoring from Kent Basile and great inside work from Aaron Douglas and Jay Reynolds. Bearden is very young but very talented.

Prediction:

Maryville vs. Powell in the region final.

REGION 3AAA:

No surprises in this district with the usual suspects making the move on. Bradley Central gets another date with Soddy Daisy and Red Bank tangles with McMinn County. A potential rematch between the Bears and the Bank could be mighty interesting.

Red Bank vs. Bradley Central in the region final.

REGION 4AAA:

A potential fourth matchup between Riverdale and Oakland hangs in the balance but the good folks at White County and Shelbyville may have something to say abou this. Riverdale gets the Sparta five in one semi-final while the Patriots of Oakland tangle with Deonta Twilley and freshman phenom Emmanuel Andrews from Shelbyville.

Prediction:

Oakland vs. Riverdale in the region final.

REGION 5AAA:

Surprising district top dog Wilson Central gets Mt. Juliet in one semi-final and Clarksville looks to continue it's fantastic run against potential bump in the road LaVergne. Clarksville has a high state ranking and the star Tyrone Caldwell to make a run deep into the 'boro.

Clarksville vs. Mt. Juliet in the region final.

REGION 6AAA:

Who could ask for a better semi-final game than White's Creek against Antioch. The district combatants tangle again with the stakes even higher this go around. The othr semi-final pits Franklin against McGavock. Franklin should not be discarded as they put together another superb season and have a chance to make a run to state.

Franklin vs. White's Creek in the region final.

REGION 7AAA:

The Pharoahs of Raleigh Egypt are pining for a chance to get at Craigmont after they defeated the states top ranked team in the district finals. Bad news for Bolton and Cordova as they stand in the way of the fourth meeting between the two powerhouses. Bolton has played outstanding since the district started and will not be an easy out but the Pharoahs are officially on a mission.

Prediction:

Craigmont vs. Raleigh Egypt in the region final.

REGION 8AAA:

A familiar name rears up with state tourney implications at stake. White Station which defeated defending AAA state champion Hamilton in the region opener gets talented Woodddale and super guard Alvin Thomas in the semi-final. The Station is deep and talented and ready to make some more noise. Another familiar name Ridgeway gets a tough Kirby team in the other semi-final.

Ridgeway vs. White Station in the region final.
