Bradley Central Big headed for the sunny coast of Florida.

And Kyle Makes 21...

Bradley Central emerging powerhouse Kyle Groothuis made it official today pledging his commitment to one of the nation's newest DI programs the Osprys of North Florida.

Groothuis played his best basketball of the season during the district and regional tourneys netting season highs three different times during that run. His game winner at the buzzer lifted his Bears to the sub-state game against White County.

Kyle has a tremendous motor and his best basketball is certainly ahead of him. He has the ability to run the floor and with another season on the weights he could get up to 220 which will help with the rigors of inside play in the Atlantic Sun.

He will need to improve his mid-range to become a weapon and his instincts continue to be honed as his court time is increased. His rapid improvement during the previous summer and his only season with Coach Smith bodes very well for the future.

The Groothuis commitment is the 21st DI pledge for the Class of 2007 and a very important get for Coach Matt Cilcullen and his staff.
