![]() John Jenkins Tigers finish 2nd in Texas and welcome back the services of the Station Camp star. This has been a magical season thus far for the Tennessee YOMCA Tigers. The Nashville based group has accumulated a gaudy 21-3 record and had captured the title in each and every tourney they played in this season. Next stop Dallas, Texas for the Next Level Ballerz National Tourney. Injuries would eventually take control and the Tigers fell in the 'ship to the dangerous Arkansas Wings 63-54. The tourney marked the return of Station Camp sophomore sensation John Jenkins. The 6-3 wing played a vital rollin his first action since his season ending injury. According to the coaches, Jenkins played very well and moved well showing no effects of the injury. He dropped 21 points in a big win over the St. Louis Eagles and added 19 in a victory over Texas Bluechips. The Tigers had to fight through two tough injuries to Zaccheus Mason (CPA) and Tavarres Jefferson (Ensworth). Jefferson had dropped 18 first half marker before a sprained ankle kept him from finishing the title game. His scoring was consistent throughout the tourney and his leadership was next level. Mason fell with his ankle in the semi-final and was unable to play in the championship contest. Z was inspriational on the boards grabbing double digits each contest and his scoring was consistent including 23 big markers against the St. Louis Eagles and their gigantic front line. Big weekend for the Maplewood duo of Markus Cantrell and Joshua Lee. Cantrell continues to improve his game and Lee is completely back from a broken leg that sidelined him last season. Hunter Miller (CPA) continues to keep defenses honest and Gary Pope (Ensworth) had his moments. The Tigers are still without the services of Miles Aasfo-Adjei (Ensworth).
