![]() Skyler McBee Ballerz prevent Memphis sweep with impressive 16's victory.
Skyler McBee (Rutledge) and D'Alvin Brown (Covington) traded three point makes and the Mid-State Ballerz Blue dispatched of the Memphis YOMCA to capture the 16 and under AAU state crown. The Ballerz victory prevented a Bluff City sweep. The Memphis squads captured gold in the 13's, 14's 15's and 17's age group. The Ballerz used the sharp-shooting of McBee and his backcourt counter part Jordan Rorex (Anderson County) to sift through pool play and the timely additions of DeMonte Simpson (Bearden) and Chase Jones (Austin East) to advance during the playoff round. McBee was selcted as the MVP of the tourney by a vote conducted by the various coaches of the teams involved. In the third place game the Tennessee Fire defeated the Future Stars behind Adrian Williamson (Hume Fogg).
