The best from all over the nation converge on Clarksville this week.
Finally the hoops action gets back underway with the 16 and under nationals coming to the Volunteer state.
The state of Tennessee will be well represented in the event posting 11 squads who hope to make some serious noise among the 100's who will make the trip to the event.
Many of the top ranked 16 and under teams in the state will represent including the top ranked Tennessee YOMCA Tigers.
In Pool A the Mid-State Ballerz Blue will compete for high level bracket advancement. The Ballerz will be led by Skyler McBee (Rutledge), Derek Walker (Covington) and Sam Watson (Farragut).
Moving to Pool B the Tennessee Heat will try to engulf their competition.
Zellburge Gleaves (Antioch) leads the Tennessee Fire into action in Pool C.
Pool F features the Tennessee Thunder 2010. The emerging youngsters are led by Tyler Hood (Lenoir City), Dwight Tarwater (Webb) and Coty Clarke (Antioch).
The Mid-State Ballerz White will take the floor in Pool G.
One of the host squads goes to battle in Pool I. The Nashville Celtics 2010 will be competing an age group up and hope to make some noise with Levon Tate (Cookeville) and Meiko Lyles (NCA).
The state's top ranked 16 and under squad saunters into Clarksville with nothing but a championship on their collective minds. Pool J action features these Tennessee YOMCA Tigers. The Tigers are led by Taverrus Jefferson (Ensworth), Zaccheus Mason (CPA) and John Jenkins (Station Camp).
Pool M features the Memphis YOMCA led by Ian Clark (Germantown) and Marlon Brown (Harding Academy).
The Mid-State Ballerz third entry into the fray, the 15's will go for the gold in Pool N. Newcomer Demarius Smith (Kenwood) will make believers of the fans of the older crowds.
Poll P gives us the Tennessee Future Stars.
The final entrant will compete in Pool Q, the Franklin Rage. Led by a host of talented juniors including Michael Young (Franklin), Jamal Starnes (Franklin) and Kevin Kagerise (Franklin) these talented teammates will enrage their opposition.
This event will NCAA sanctioned and will features coaches from near and far. Stay tuned for continued coverage of this important event.
