Three massive tourneys make the highways and byways of Sin City impossible to navigate.

The Main Event.

The adidas Super 64.

The Reebok Summer Championships.

Three events chock full of teams from all over the country.

Coaches, recruiting people and teams are running all over the desert hoping to be seen.

The prepsters from Tennessee are no exception.

REEBOK SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS

At the Reebok event the Southeast Elite-Nashville 16's are playing an age group up and have so far held their own winning one and dropping a heartbreaker this afternoon.

Leading the charge for the SEN are Thad McHaney (Brentwood Academy) and Josh Tidwell (Brentwood). Big Thad has held his own and played consistently in both contests finishing with 14 in the tough loss. Tidwell, a rising sophomore,  has scored double digits and dished out numerous assists.

ADIDAS SUPER 64

Unbeaten is how you could describe the Nashville Celtics thus far at the 64. The 17 and under squad claimed victories over the Gym Rats (76-64) and TOPP Sports (76-68) to keep their record intact. Newly added Ricky "The Truth" Taylor (Haywood County) has begun playing like we all hoped he would have in the earlier stages of the summer. Truth dropped 20 in the opening round victory.

The 16 and under Celts scored a major victory dropping a very good New England Playaz squad 62-52 behind 12 each from Drew Kelly (Centennial) and rising sophomore Meiko Lyles (NCA). Game two produced a Celtics blowout with big Kelly leading the way again wih 18.

Joe Jackson (White Station) is putting on a show for the people of Vegas scoring 24 and 26 in two relatively easy wins for his Memphis Select Pacers group. The phenom is adding his name to national recruiting boards with his summer explosion. All they needed to do was ask me, we knew how good he was last year.

As the lone representative for the 15 and under group the M33M Magic go for another big time title starting out 2-0 with two big wins in the pool portion of action. Tim Peete (Memphis Central) led a very balanced scoring attack with 12 in the first game and Ronald "Tank" Brown (Raleigh-Egypt) was high man in the second victory with 14.

Stay tuned for more pool action and results as we get them.
