NC 16 is the rating for scorching hot thus far in the desert.

The Nashville Celtics 16 and under crew (NC16) roll into second round bracket play sporting a sweet 4-0 record after dispatching of BTI South 99-62. Dropping the hammer for the Celtcs was Drew Barham (CBHS) with 20 big markers and Chase Dunn (Livingston Academy) with 19.  

The Celtcs cruised through pool play winning their final game in large fashion against the Colorado Court Authority. Drew Kelly (Centennial) has shone very bright thus far dropping 18 points in this contest and drawing the attention of more than one big time coach. Another Celt who is getting rave reviews is Kentucky Hoopstar Jon Hood. The KY killer is getting big time high and mid-major interest.

Not to be outdone the Volunteer states other 16 and under participant the Memphis Select Pacers are sporting the same 4-0 mark to this point. Winning their pool games to the tune of alot to a little the Pacers ran by the B2G Hoops squad in first round bracket action behind 22 markers from Joe Jackson (White Station).

Spartan spirit has run amuck in this rising sophomore after games of 24 and 26 in early pool action, Jackson dropped 19 in a 107-24 squashing and then finished with his double dueces in the bracket game. Not to be outdone some other emerging Class of 2010 players are shining in the bright lights of Vegas including Terrence Durham (Treadwell), Jordan Miles (White Station), Jeremy Whitmore (Raleigh-Egypt) and Justin Harris (Memphis Central).

In 17 and under action the MemphisHoopers.com closed out pool play with a big win over Metroplex (97-78) behind 18 big ones from Roy McFagdon (Manassas). The lanky rising senior is a certain slepper soon to be common name among the Bluff City's best. The Hoopers finished pool play 1-2 but rose up in their first silver bracket game winning 78-63 behind 19 markers from Trey Payne (Memphis Central).

The Nashville Celtics finished pool play unblemished at 3-0 including a nice win over Midwest Elite and 18 points from Ricky Taylor (Haywood County). The Celts then dropped their first Gold bracket contest to the Colorado Select Blue 84-73.

M33M reamins alive in bracket action playing in the Super Pool they finished third in Pool D, but authomatically advanced to the championship round. Their first bracket contest produced a victory with Lakeshow on the agenda tomorrow morning.

Finally as the lone 15 and under rep, the M33M Magic continues to play well. The Memphis crew finished pool play 2-1 including a tough loss to the Playaz. Their first taste of bracket action brought 14 tallies from Alan Farmer (Cordova) and a sweet victory over the Compton Magic. For their reward they get to tangle with the always dangerous Team Philly in tomorrows action.
