![]() Casey Prather The adidas Super 64 regarded by most as the top tourney of the big Vegas three. 15 AND UNDER M33M M33M made the most of their trip to Sin City advancing to the final four of one of the summers best events before losing to the eventual champs D.C. Assault 57-54. The Memphis youngsters had a great trip through the desert getting 14 points apiece from Alan Farmer (Cordova) and Tim Peete (Memphis Central) in a tough 62-57 victory over traditionally tough Team Philly. Then in the quarterfinal Peete added 13 more as the Magic defeated Indiana Elite 62-60 and advanced to their semi-final contest.
16 AND UNDER MEMPHIS SELECT PACERS The place was alive and electric with the emergence of a new star on the national horizon. Joe Jackson (White Station) is getting the national notoriety we knew all along he deserved. The phenom dropped a special 29 on the Michigan Mustangs including six steals and high fives and oohs and aahs from the college coaches in attendance. Despite the antics of the Spartan star, Terrence Durham (Treadwell) showed he is a top prospect as well scoring 25 of his own on some deep threes. The fun came to a rousing stop as the Pacers fell to the eventual 16 and under champs G.C. Ballers 84-70. NASHVILLE CELTICS A great run by the Celtics finishing pool play unbeaten and scoring a 100-70 victory over RBA Blue with 25 markers from Drew Kelly (Centennial), who was sterling the entire time in Vegas. The big man with the soft touch continues to prove himself against bigger inside performers using his fundamentals and positioning. Numerous Celtics drew the attention of the slew of coaches camped out in the desert. Casey Prather (Jackson Northside) has shown off his ultra athletic skills including 20 against RBA on some next level athletic finishes. His game continues to mature and his future gets increasingly brighter with every game. Jon Hood (Kentucky) has drawn prasie for his ability to play numerous positions and finish from inside or out. Chase Dunn (Livingston Academy) is the heart and soul of the squad continually proving every one wrong. Drew Barham (CBHS) has range out to the parking lot and showed his basketball IQ during this high level event.
