Big week coming up for Tennessee Prep Hoops.
Whew....that collective gasp is the relief felt by players, coaches and fans after the tough and hot summer campaign finally came to a close.
Now that the dust has settled and everyone is back at school we can get back to the basketball business at hand.
PLAYER RANKINGS will be ready for view on Monday the 13th of August. I have spent countless hours on this venture and have added over 50+ players in the Classes of 2009 and 2010. The rankings will also unviel the first Class of 2011 rankings. Keep in mind this is the incoming freshman class and I have not seen most of them play as I do not attend middle school games for lack of time.
I am relying on coaches, both high school and summer, for this info so please be aware once the seaosn starts and then next summer's 15 and under events begin the clas will change dramatically. Feel free to email me any guys from the Class of 2011 that need to be ranked and I will check them out.
The second order of business, I have decided not to post the final summer team rankings for several reasons. This years teams were very close in the events and results they acheived. Many teams had close calls against great teams, others were missing stars during July making this way to close to call.
I also did not want to make everyone upset with what spot they were in. Everyone has a legitimate argument and everyone is right so that makes this almost impossible to do without someone getting irate. I have good relationships with all the summer coaches and would like it to remain that way.
The third order of business will be the rankings and exposure showcases. The Carson Newman event is coming along well with a good numbers of pre-registers thus far. if you are interested in attending the event I strongly encourage you to pre-register. I have secured the services of an interesting and unique speaker for the event which will appeal to all the players who attend.
The banner for the Freed-Hardeman event will be up on or around the 20th of August and will be easily distinguisable from the current Carson Newman banner. We are narrwoing down the dates for the Nashville showcase and should have that info by next week, we know it will in October but the dtae has not been finalized as of yet.
I will have the post-summer write-ups for the top teams in all three age groups beginning next Monday. I will begin with the 17's and work towards the younger groups.
I want to wish everyone a great and healthy return to school and thank everyone for their support and help making Tennessee Prep Hoops the premiere high school basketball site in the state.
