Established summer league prepares for player draft.

The CBL begins it's fifth year as the premier fall basketball league in the greater Memphis area.

The league will feature many top area hoopsters competing with TSSAA officials and competent statistics.

Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of six games depending on thier playoff success.

The annual league draft will be held on Sunday August 26th at Mississippi Blvd. Christian Church. Drafting begins at 6:00.

The competition for players will be fierce with the formation of the new MSBA League but officials from the CBL say "come compete against the best Elliot Williams, Arnette Moultrie, Terrico White, Elgin Lee, Robert Elam, Martino Brock, Meiko Lyles, Casey Prather, Reginald Buckner,Adonis Thomas, Joe Jackson, Leslie McDonald, Jarvis Jones,Tonye Smith and the list goes on."

Should make for an eventful fall in the Bluff City.
