UTEP grabs another Bluff City hoopster.

For the second time in a matter of days a visitor from the South has come into Tennessee and grabbed a baller to become their own.

Jason Jones (Ridgeway) will join fellow Memphian Arnette Moultrie and play for Coach Tony Barbee and the Miners of UTEP.

Jones had a fantastic summer rolling with the Memphis Y and garnered numerous offers from up and down the East Coast.

J.J. is an incredible athlete who can score off the dribble and is especially strong receiving the pass in transition. His outside shot is workable and with his athletic prowess he will make an impact at the Haskins Center immediately.

The Miners now have two Tennessee hoopsters for the second consecutive season with Jones and Moultrie. Last season the staff ventured in and grabbed Randy Culpepper (Sheffield) and Gabriel McCulley (Craigmont).

Jones becomes the 13th member of the Class of 2008 to pledge.

Congrats to a fine young man and best of luck.
