The third group from the Vandy showcase is on the clock.
The 3rd in the 4 part evals from the Vanderbilt showcase brings us the four squads from the Big Ten. Those teams are Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio State.
INDIANA
Chase Dunn (Livingston Academy)
If he were 6'2 they would be camping out at L.A. Smart, tough, fearless, can shoot, leader, say no more
Jay Cannon (Knoxville Halls)
Average shooter who played hard but will need to improve lateral skills to be more effective, smart
Don Woods (McGavock)
Good size plays tough and hard will guard any position, shot is improving, played well before injury
Nathan Parker (Bearden)
Trying to get out of the shadow of his teammates in K-Town, he's primed for a push, good shot, long
Shawn Beach (Culleoka)
Oozing with potential the time is approaching to put this together and take the next step, big, strong
Michael Whittaker (Glencliff)
Small and ultra quick youngster played aggressive and can be a solid defender, learn his role will prosper
Lester Wilson (Knoxville Carter)
Unbelievable athlete who boards out of area, is explosive and knows his areas of improvement, big time
Maxwell Ugboaija (Hillwood)
Big strong and athletic, once he puts some skill work to that will be dangerous, 2010 kid has bright future
ILLINOIS
Jeff Terrell (Station Camp)
Samrt lead guard who is more comfy in a set system, good shooter, will need to step up on defense
Charles Holt (Liberty Tech)
One of the best shooters in the gym, can make the mid-range but this must become second nature
Jake Trotter (Walker Valley)
Big surprise with his ability to stroke the three and finish with a flush inside, better athlete than appears
Kendall Anthony (Liberty Tech)
The next "Ant" at the Tech is smart and tough and does'nt know he's only 5'7, great floor vision
Judah Akers (Cookeville)
Could always shoot now has added some size which will help inside, defensive work will make him better
David Sanders (MLK)
X-Man is strong athlete who can finish and plays very heady, hsi strength will help him on defense
Zach Sherill (Stone Memorial)
Great defensive help guy, one of two who actually tried to take a charge, still needs strength but smart
MICHIGAN
Kyle Upton (Antioch)
A scorer from all over the floor, will become more point man oriented with new coach, great future
Brian Clarke (Antioch)
Solid rebounding guard, went after everything, needs to refine shooting stroke but plays with passion
D.D. Evans (Seigel)
Good size and much improved from last year, can handle the ball and is a good athlete, needs to play
Gary Cooper (Knoxville Halls)
Big man has a good motor needs to finish at the rim better but does go hard at all times, can shoot when set
Brandon Lopez (Austin East)
Very mature for his class, loves to take charge and get everyone involved, strong, work on shot
Jalen Steele (Fulton)
Silky smooth is my from the 'ville. Getting better at going to the rack using his best weapon to create ops.
Brice Sharpe (Walker Valley)
Nice looking stroke when mechanics are right, can go inside and be successful, getting better all the time
Cham Cham Quao (Webb School)
Incoming freshman is still learning the game and will be effective when stronger, can shoot when open
OHIO STATE
Marquis Rudolph (Clarksville Northwest)
Shot the ball very well hitting double digits threes in each contest, this year will be called to lead his squad
Jamaal Lundy (Austin East)
Played so great, shot the ball very well, ran the point made great decisions, his game is coming along nicely
C.J. Holt (Culleoka)
Nice athlete who can really stroke the ball, plays hard on defensive end of the floor, well coached
Pierre Mitchell (Sycamore)
Incredible leaper goes hard after everything, will need to become more offensively focused, work on shot
Calvin Ross (Howard)
Surprise youngster could really handle the ball and made good decisons for his age, very quick
Chris McClurken (Dickson County)
Very smart, team guy, always makes the right read and can shoot the ball when left alone, high b-ball IQ
Davell Lloyd (Martin Westview)
Was singled out for his defensive effort by the evaluators, tried numerous times to take a charge, solid
