Representation from far and wide invade the Hal Henard gym.
The fifth annual Landair Classic tips-off in Greeneville with one of the best fields in the short history of the event. Teams from Canada, Mississippi, Virginia and Tennessee reps from the East and Middle all come to Hal Henard for a Thanksgiving feast of hoops.
Representing the Volunteer state will be local favorites West Greene, Jefferson County, Sevier County, Tennessee High, Clinton, and Morristown East. The host school Greeneville features a pair of talented athletes in senior point guard Tremaine Gash (Greeneville) and newcomer Jordan Short (Greeneville).
Coming from Eastern Knoxville the Roadrunners of Austin East bring a talented group led by senior shooter Darryl Flourence, junior athlete Chase Jones and improving backcourt men Chance Jones and Jamaal Lundy.
From further up the road the Bulldogs of bearden and their big lineup invade the Hal Henard gym. D1 prospects Demonte Simpson, Blake Jenkins and Dustin Craig along with much improved junior classmate Nathan Parker are ready to bring home some gold.
Down in Middle Tennessee the lawys tough Eagles of Shelbyville make the trek to Greeneville. Led by sophomore sensation Emmanuel Andrews. The Eagles are heavy in the backcourt with Michael France and Julian Haile also ready to show they can hoop as well.
From the metro Nashville area Maplewood comes a callin. Sophomore Robert Wade is a special athlete who has improved his perimeter skills and will be a highlight reel waiting to explode. The boys from the 'ville also feature junior guard Markus Cantrell and emerging 6'4 junior Joshua Lee.
This will be a great week of hoops so make the trip to Greeneville for a top notch tourney.
