Jason Jones (Ridgeway) helped lead a 12-4 third quarter run as the Roadrunners from Ridgeway defeated two-time defending AA state champion Liberty Tech. Jones, a UTEP signee, was the games leading scorer with 22. Liberty was led by sophomore Tarius Johnson with 15 and junior point guard Ricky Williams with 10.

Middle Tennessee

Antioch 71

Hillsboro 36

Kyle Upton (Antioch) scored 17 and senior Tahj Wells added 12 as Antioch rolled over the Burros of Hillsboro 71-36 on Tuesday night ion Nashville. Antioch pulled ahead with a big 17-6 second quarter onslaught and then topped that with an 18-5 run in the third putting the game way out of reach. Arthur McMillan (Hillsboro) was the leading scorer for the Burros with 13.

East Tennessee

Maryville 68

Farragut 65

Reigning AAA state MVP Jordan Damron (Maryville) kncoked down a couple of late foul shots and helped the defending state AAA champs to an early district victory over the Admirals of Farragut 68-65. Damron and fellow backcourt senior Wes Lambert both scored 21 and junior Ryan Click added 13. Farragut got 11 from senior Kyle Binder.
