This time of the year finds the top players and teams on the summer circuit traveling all over the country. Those fortunate enough to have scored invites to some of the presitigious individual camps have a great chance to present their skills on a national level, Reebok University is one of these showcases. The top ranked players in the state for the Class of 2008 and Class of 2010 have brought it upon themselves to make the home of Rocky Balboa their own personal playground. Elliot Williams (St. George) and Joe Jackson (White Station) are wowing the coaches and media in attendance at the high level event. Williams continues his quest for McDonald's All-American status by performing consistently as one of the top shooting guards in the nation. His high level efficiency and potent scoring prowess make him arguably one of the best if not the best two guard in the country. Williams has narrowed his suitors down to Tennessee, Duke, Virginia and Memphis and will be a grand gift for the coach who secures his services. The Memphis magician has played his best basketball during the high profile summer months and has raised his status to elite level with his extraordinarily quick first step and ability to consistently knock down the outside jumper. Not to be outdone, the state's top ranked player in the Class of 2010 is putting his name on national lists with his combination of quickness, toughness and above average basketball saavy. Joe Jackson is a name that will continue to rise on the national radar as he become more prevelant to the spotlight. Jackson has a smoothness to his game that belies his young age and has a motor that will not stop. His pursuit of excellence is certainly high next level and he is receiving interest from the top programs in America. Despite his small stature and frail look, Jackson has that city toughness and is not afraid to go hard to the bucket and finishes with contact or makes the nice dropoff to a happy big man. Great effort from two of the state's best, keep up the hard work fellas and represent.
